For many on our team, Sunday, November 9th, was Commissioning Day. Members of our team come from various L.C.M.S. churches in Eastern Iowa and Michigan, so individual Commissioning Services were held in members’ home churches. What a wonderful feeling, knowing we are supported in prayer by so many church members in Iowa and Michigan!
Our final virtual pre-field training for our team was held on Sunday afternoon, November 9th. We all voiced our biggest concerns for the coming week, including the government shutdown affecting travel, wrapping up commitments at work and home before leaving, physical concerns, and being fully equipped to do the mission work before us. Our team leader, Barbara, assured us that God is in control, and we can cast all of our worries and concerns on Him.
Logistics! So many details to know about our flights, luggage, and what we need to pack in our personal carry on. We will all be flying to Dallas EARLY Saturday morning, November 15, where we will meet and begin our journey to Belize together as MOST Team 2506.
Continue to pray for our team that we will arrive safely in Belize, that our team members will remain healthy to serve, and that the light of Christ will be seen through all we say and do.
