Homeward Bound - Saturday, November 22

Morning came quickly, and we met for our final devotion on the patio. Barbara reminded us that we are all members of the body of Christ with unique and special gifts. She challenged us to name the part of the body or one word that represented our role during our week in Belize.

Our last breakfast with the Rios Family was emotional. They have welcomed us into their home each day, shared their life stories with us, assisted us at the clinic, and prayed with us and for us. We were in Belize to assist Pastor Rios with his ministry in Orange Walk, but we have received more than we gave. Our eyes were opened to the urgent need to reach all nations with the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Our eyes were opened to the urgent need for physical eye care and eye glasses in the world. Our eyes were opened to the many blessings God has bestowed us and our nation that we take for granted.

There were many hugs and goodbyes as we left, knowing we may not see each other again on earth, but also knowing we will one day see each other in heaven.

Two vans were needed to get us and our luggage back to the airport in Belize City. The process to fly internationally can be challenging, especially with a group of fifteen people with two different destinations, Iowa and Michigan. We were fortunate that our team leader, Barbara, and MOST Ministries take care of all the details.

There were a few challenges with a plane going out of commission in Belize and booking new flights to get us home in a timely manner. Team members from Michigan and Iowa said goodbyes in Los Angeles instead of Dallas! Thanks to Barbara, MOST Ministries, an exceptional American Airline employee in Belize, and many praying for our safe return, we were able to get to our home destinations on Sunday.

Thank you to all who uplifted our MOST team in prayer. With your support and God blessing our efforts, we were able to help improve the sight of 515 people in Belize. A total of 1214 glasses and sunglasses were given during the four day clinic!

TO GOD BE THE GLORY! AMEN!
